Project 35 director Sue Konu attended the event 'Roma(nia) Between Severe and Extreme Poverty' in October 2008. With Lucy Orta, Sue presented our collective research and action to date and attended site visits to Sintesti and Ploiesti Roma camps. The group installed tents from the 'Roma Preview Pavilion', fresh from the Venice Biennale.

Speakers and guests included Delia Grigore, Vasile Ionescu, Maria Papadimitriou, Mariana Celec, Lucy Orta and Sue Konu.

A further workshop and research trip took place in April 2009, where the EuRoma team, including Sue Konu and David Knight, visited TAMA and the University of Thessaly to engage with Roma communities in the town of Volos.

The final European workshop will take place in London in June 2009.
