Established by Sue Konu in 2001, Project 35 is a London-based practice with particular experience in regeneration and neighbourhood renewal.

We offer bespoke, provocative design across sectors and are adept at delivering generous, sustainable projects on spatially or culturally complex sites.

Key practice experience centres on private and public dwellings and their critical integration into the public realm. Within highly dense urban settings, this includes the embracement of biodiversity strategies, sustainable technologies and landscape interventions.

Each project relies on a humanitarian focus on place making, drawing out points of anomaly and intrigue through insightful appraisal of site histories, geographies, hopes, constraints and opportunities. The issue of domestic life has been a pre-occupation of the practice for a considerable time, balanced by a persistent interest in issues of urbanism and public space. Consultation experience has provided a strong body of research to draw upon & opportunity to examine the factors which make good neighbourhoods and stimulating places.

We have much experience of working with complex client consortiums, including Housing Associations and community organizations, and are adept at engaging with the public through meaningful consultation and exchange. We operate as a core team which dynamically draws upon a diverse group of collaborators, associates, and consultants, including artists, writers and academics.

The practice received a Civic Trust Award “in recognition of outstanding contribution to the environment” in 2006.

We are a female-led practice, a member of the London Equal Opportunities Federation, and an RIBA Chartered Practice.
